Day 5 - Mostly travel but oh what a finish.

I actually finished yesterdays blog with what should have been today's start. We left Llanfair PG on a very crowded train but it was a very short trip until we changed to first class luxury at Chester. It was five hours on trains to Haltwhistle but most of it was very comfortable.

We arrived at Ashcroft B&B to find it the most luxurious place that either of us have ever stayed in. The house is an old Victorian rectory turned into a doctor's surgery and now a luxurious guest house. The garden has won national awards. We have a super king size sleigh bed that seems about the size of our bedroom at home and the bedroom is about the size of our whole main floor at home. We have two balconies off our room both of which have a wrought iron cafe table and two chairs. One gets the sunrise and morning sun and the other the sunset.

We never seem to want to leave where we are but we always seem to love where we end up.
